Pune , 14 July : Rakhi Agarwal, mother of Ketan Agarwal, who was allegedly murdered near Pune’s Lohagad Fort, has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure swift justice.
Earlier, Ketan’s father, Vishal Agarwal, appealed to President Droupadi Murmu for a fast-tracked investigation.
In her email sent on Monday, Rakhi Agarwal described the unbearable pain of losing her son.
Rakhi Agarwal said she had once dreamt of seeing Ketan build a happy family, but instead had to perform his last rites.
She stressed that she was not seeking sympathy or special treatment, but only justice under the law.
Rakhi Agarwal said Ketan’s grandfather died soon after the alleged murder, unable to bear the grief, leaving the family shattered by two losses.
Appealing directly to Prime Minister Modi, Rakhi Agarwal requested that her son’s murder should never become ‘just another case file’.
She urged authorities to ensure that those responsible receive the strictest punishment without unnecessary delay.
Rakhi Agarwal said every passing day without justice deepens her family’s suffering.
Along with the letter, she shared an emotional video holding Ketan’s photograph.
Fighting back tears, she questioned why her son was killed and asked what fault he had committed.
She said her daughter would have no brother to tie a rakhi to this Raksha Bandhan, as the family lost Ketan and all their dreams for his future.
With folded hands, she urged the Prime Minister and the nation to help secure justice for Ketan Agarwal.
