
New Delhi , 1 Feb : President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday graced the opening of the Amrit Udyan Winter Annuals Edition 2026 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The iconic gardens will be open for public viewing from February 3 to March 31, offering visitors a chance to experience one of the country’s most celebrated green spaces.
The Amrit Udyan will be open six days a week, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the last entry permitted at 5 p.m. The gardens will remain closed on Mondays for maintenance and on March 4 on account of Holi.
Entry to the garden will be free of cost; however, visitors will be required to book their tickets exclusively through the online portal. No on-the-spot booking facility will be available this year. Tickets can be booked at https://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in, and booking for a particular day will close at 10 a.m. on the previous day. Visitors have been advised to book their slots well in advance and adhere strictly to the time and instructions mentioned on their tickets.
Special visiting days have been earmarked for select groups. March 3 will be reserved for defence personnel, March 5 for senior citizens, March 10 for women and tribal women’s self-help groups, and March 13 for Divyangjan.
All visitors will enter and exit through Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, near North Avenue. To facilitate easy access, a shuttle bus service will operate every 30 minutes between Central Secretariat Metro Station and Gate No. 35 from 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the last shuttle departing at 4 p.m.
The designated visitor route will include Bal Vatika, Plumeria Garden, Banyan Garden, Bonsai Garden, Babbling Brook, Central Lawn, Long Garden and Circular Garden. In addition to tulips and a wide variety of roses, this year’s highlights include the Babbling Brook, a cascading water stream, and the Banyan Garden featuring reflexology paths.
Visitors will be allowed to carry mobile phones, electronic keys, handbags, water bottles and milk bottles for infants. Facilities such as drinking water, toilets and first aid or medical services will be available along the public route.
Apart from Amrit Udyan, the Rashtrapati Bhavan and Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum will also remain open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday.
