Tamil Nadu , 1 Feb : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted everyone on the occasion of sacred Thai Poosam.
PM Modi said in a post on X, “Vetrivel Muruganuku Arogara! On this sacred Thai Poosam, my greetings to everyone. May the blessings of Lord Murugan always remain upon us. May everybody be blessed with good health, success and prosperity.”
Thai Poosam is a Hindu festival mainly celebrated in southern India on the full moon day of the Tamil month of Thai (January-February). The festival is dedicated to Lord Murugan, the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, and commemorates his victory over the demon Surapadman using the divine spear, known as the Vel.
