
Jammu, Jan 27: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has reconstituted the Committee for Service Conditions of the District Judiciary following the retirement of one of its members, according to an official order issued by the High Court Registry.
As per the order, the reconstitution has been carried out in compliance with directions passed by the High Court and in continuation of earlier judicial orders issued in related proceedings. The committee has been reformed after the superannuation of Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, who was previously part of the panel.
The reconstituted committee will now comprise Justice Sanjay Dhar and Justice Mohd Akram Chowdhary as members. The Secretary to the Government, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, and the Secretary, Law and Justice, Union Territory of Ladakh, have also been included in the committee.
The Registrar General of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has been designated as the Ex-Officio Secretary of the committee, while the Registrar (Rules) of the High Court will act as the Presenting Officer. The retired District and Sessions Judge, Pawan Dev Kotwal, has been named as the Nodal Officer.
The order further notes that issues concerning service conditions of the District Judiciary, including those involving departments such as Home, Health, Personnel and Public Works, are being deliberated and implemented in accordance with directions of the High Court.
The order has been circulated to all concerned authorities, including judicial officers and government departments, for information and necessary action.
