New Delhi , 26 Dec : Addressing a charged gathering at Bharat Mandapam on Veer Bal Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a rousing message to India’s youngest generations, declaring Gen Z and Gen Alpha as the decisive force that will propel the nation to unprecedented heights.
Drawing inspiration from the supreme courage of Guru Gobind Singh’s young sons, Sahibzadas Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, the Prime Minister framed youth leadership as both a moral responsibility and a historic opportunity.
Speaking directly to members of the Yuva Bharat platform, PM Modi asserted that age never limits greatness. He reminded the audience that the Sahibzadas embraced sacrifice with clarity and conviction, proving that steadfast principles outweigh physical strength or years of experience.
“Your generation will sail India to new heights,” PM Modi told young participants, positioning them as architects of a Viksit Bharat.
The Prime Minister contrasted today’s expanding opportunities with what he described as an earlier era of constrained ambition. He said outdated systems once discouraged young Indians from dreaming big, creating an atmosphere of doubt and inertia.
PM Modi argued that India has now decisively reversed that mindset by actively seeking talent, rewarding innovation, and backing ambition with institutional support drawn from the collective strength of 140 crore citizens.
PM Modi highlighted how technology, digital connectivity, startup missions, and innovation platforms have opened doors across sectors.
He pointed to the New Education Policy (NEP) as a transformative shift that prioritises critical thinking, creativity, and experiential learning over rote memorisation.
Atal Tinkering Labs Praised for Early Innovation
The Prime Minister praised initiatives like Atal Tinkering Labs for nurturing curiosity, design thinking, and problem-solving skills at an early age.
Referring to the Sahibzadas’ clarity in choosing the righteous path, the Prime Minister urged youth to remain focused and principled.
He cautioned against chasing fleeting popularity or superficial glamour, stressing that national progress depends on disciplined thinking rooted in values.
According to him, true success gains meaning only when it inspires others and strengthens society.
PM Modi placed young Indians at the centre of national policy priorities, citing reforms and programmes in skill development, internships, manufacturing, fintech, sports, and entrepreneurship.
He said India’s demographic advantage gives it a unique global edge and makes youth empowerment a strategic necessity rather than a slogan.
Concluding his address, the Prime Minister said Veer Bal Diwas stands as a reminder that courage, sacrifice, and ethical clarity define India’s civilisational strength. He asserted that when youth combine ambition with values, India’s rise becomes inevitable.
