Lucknow , 24 Dec : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow on 25 December, marking the 101st birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The event will take place at approximately 2:30 PM, during which the Prime Minister will also address a public gathering, highlighting the significance of this national tribute.
PM Modi conceived Rashtra Prerna Sthal to honour India’s luminaries who shaped the nation’s democratic, political, and developmental journey.
The memorial also pays lasting tribute to the life, ideals, and enduring legacy of leaders whose contributions profoundly impacted India.
Spanning 65 acres and built at an estimated cost of ₹230 crore, the government developed the complex as a landmark national memorial and inspirational centre.
It aims to foster leadership values, national service, cultural awareness, and public motivation. Visitors are expected to gain a deeper understanding of selfless leadership and governance through immersive experiences.
Iconic Bronze Statues and Museum
The park features 65-feet-high bronze statues of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, celebrating their seminal contributions to India’s political thought and nation-building.
The complex also houses a state-of-the-art museum in a lotus-shaped structure, covering approximately 98,000 square feet.
The museum employs advanced digital and immersive technologies to showcase India’s national journey and the enduring influence of these leaders.
Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Minister AK Sharma and Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharakwal also inspected the site ahead of the inauguration, highlighting the reclamation of around 32 acres from a former 80–85-acre garbage dump.
Authorities removed over 6.5 lakh metric tonnes of waste, transforming the neglected area into a sprawling, inspirational park for the nation.
The inauguration of Rashtra Prerna Sthal marks a historic moment for Uttar Pradesh and India, honouring iconic leaders and inspiring present and future generations.
The memorial aims to encourage public service, leadership, and dedication to the nation, reinforcing the values exemplified by India’s visionary leaders.
