Rajouri, 25 Sep 2025 : On the occasion of International Peace Day, the Indian Army organised a special programme at Saaj Middle School with the objective of spreading the message of peace, harmony and coexistence among the younger generation. The event commenced with an interactive session where students were sensitised about the universal values of peace, unity and non-violence. The speakers highlighted that peace is the foundation of progress and stability in any society and urged the youth to imbibe tolerance, mutual respect and responsibility in their everyday lives. To make the programme engaging and memorable, various activities such as drawing competitions, poetry recitations and speeches were organised on the theme of peace and harmony. Students actively participated with great enthusiasm and expressed their vision of a peaceful world through creative performances. The Indian Army representatives also underlined the importance of nurturing harmony in a diverse nation like India and reminded the gathering that lasting peace can only be achieved through understanding, cooperation and collective responsibility. The young minds were motivated to act as ambassadors of peace in their communities. The school staff, along with NGO members present, expressed their appreciation for the initiative. They lauded the Indian Army for its continuous efforts in shaping young lives positively, not only by safeguarding borders but also by instilling values that strengthen the social fabric. The programme concluded with a pledge taken by students and staff to work towards promoting peace, unity and stability in their surroundings, thereby contributing to a brighter and more peaceful future for the nation.
