Akhnoor: 29 Jul 25 : Under the aegis of the Crossed Swords Division, the Indian Army organised a Hepatitis Day Awareness Drive at Government High School, Narayana for the local population of Narayana village, Pallanwala. The drive was conducted by the medical officer with the support of accompanying medical staff. The initiative aimed to educate the local populace about the causes, symptoms, prevention, early detection and treatment of Hepatitis, with the objective of building a healthier tomorrow.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 174 students and 16 teachers. Informative sessions were conducted on hygiene, vaccination and lifestyle modifications to prevent the spread of Hepatitis B and C. This initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued commitment to holistic development and public health empowerment. The locals expressed heartfelt gratitude for the effort and requested more such health awareness drives in the future.
