Anantnag, February 15: The Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a three-day water supply shutdown in Anantnag town and its adjoining areas due to essential repair work on the pipeline network.
According to an official statement, the water supply will remain suspended on February 17, 18, and 19 as the department undertakes urgent maintenance at various locations. The affected areas include Anantnag town, Ashajipora, Moominabad, Dabruna, Harnag, Khandipari, Danter, Pushwara, Batengoo, and Uranhal.
““In order to carry out the urgent repairs of Pipe network at various locations in Anantnag town, the water supply from Bumzoo Filtration Plant will be shutdown for consecutive three days” the statement read.
Authorities have advised residents to store adequate drinking water in advance to manage during the disruption.
