Gujarat , 30 Mar : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects valued at Rs 19,806.9 crore during his Gujarat visit on March 31. The programme will take place at Vav-Tharad and include initiatives from both the Central and state governments.
Projects worth Rs 10,921 crore fall under the Union Ministries of Energy, Road Transport and Highways, and Railways.
Among these are three key energy initiatives linked to the hybrid renewable energy park at Khavda in Kutch, with a combined outlay of Rs 3,645 crore.
Officials stated that these projects will integrate large-scale renewable power into the national grid and enhance energy security.
In the road sector, authorities will initiate the Idar-Badoli four-lane bypass project worth Rs 705 crore and the Dholavira-Mauvana-Vauva-Santalpur stretch valued at Rs 575 crore.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate four packages of the Ahmedabad-Dholera project, with investments exceeding Rs 5,000 crore.
Railway works valued at Rs 891 crore include the Himmatnagar-Khedbrahma broad gauge line, track upgrades between Gandhidham and Adipur, and doubling of the Kanalus-Jamnagar section.
A new train service connecting Khedbrahma, Himmatnagar, and Asarva will also commence.
State-led projects amounting to Rs 8,886 crore span urban development, water supply, health, tourism, and rural sectors.
Major urban works in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar include canal development, public transport upgrades, housing for economically weaker sections, sewer infrastructure, and lake interlinking.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), beneficiaries across 34 districts will receive completed homes.
The initiative will enable 38,949 rural families to enter their new residences, strengthening inclusive development.
