Mumbai , 2 April : Adani Electricity and Adani Foundation, under their Swabhimaan initiative in partnership with Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM), announced that Swateja Mart and Swateja Kitchen have together achieved a revenue milestone of ₹1 crore within a year of operations.
The accomplishment highlights the effectiveness of structured support for women entrepreneurs enabled through collaborative public–private efforts.
The programme continues to focus on enhancing financial independence and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Aditi Tatkare, Maharashtra’s Minister for Women and Child Development, visited Swateja Mart alongside Rajalakshmi Shah, Managing Director of MAVIM. She interacted with participating entrepreneurs, reviewed product displays, inaugurated Swateja Kitchen, and placed an order through Swiggy.
Tatkare appreciated the streamlined processes and support mechanisms provided by partner organisations. She also distributed cheques to women beneficiaries who fulfilled large-scale orders.
“Swateja Mart and Swateja Cloud Kitchen are model projects that demonstrate how organisations like Adani Electricity, Adani Foundation, and MAVIM are advancing women empowerment, creating meaningful livelihood opportunities, and promoting financial independence,” said Tatkare.
The Swabhimaan initiative executes the project in collaboration with MAVIM and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The project supports more than 380 Self Help Groups and benefits over 4,500 women. It offers skill development, encourages savings, and improves access to formal credit systems.
Swateja Mart and the Swateja Cloud Kitchen have enabled consistent market access through physical outlets, weekly markets, corporate partnerships, digital platforms, and food delivery services. They have generated over ₹1 crore in business so far.
