1 April : Adani Airport Holdings has partnered with Blinkit to introduce India’s first in-terminal quick commerce service at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The facility is currently operational at Terminal 2 for domestic departures.
This initiative enables passengers to order essential items through the Blinkit application and receive deliveries within minutes inside the terminal.
Available products include chargers, snacks, books, and personal care items. Deliveries extend across boarding gates, lounges, food courts, and select retail outlets.
The service operates through trained on-ground personnel.
Teams ensure seamless execution while maintaining strict adherence to airport security and operational protocols. Even approved liquid items, such as packaged water and beverages, are delivered through regulated in-terminal inventory.
An AAHL spokesperson stated that the initiative aims to elevate passenger experience by integrating digital convenience within airport infrastructure. The move allows travellers to optimise waiting time and access essentials without disruption.
For Blinkit, the collaboration opens a high-demand environment where speed and accessibility remain critical. It also expands the platform’s user base.
For AAHL, the service enhances passenger comfort while strengthening non-aeronautical revenue streams through digital retail channels.
The offering improves accessibility and affordability in airport shopping. It addresses a common challenge faced by travellers who often lack time to purchase necessities before boarding.
With significant passenger traffic at Terminal 2, the service is expected to bridge this gap effectively.
The initiative underscores a broader trend of embedding technology-driven solutions within travel ecosystems to deliver faster and more efficient services.
