Rajouri: 28 Jul 25 : The Indian Army organized a lecture on Women Empowerment and Youth Motivation on 28 July 2025 at Hatta Seri, Rajouri. The event witnessed active participation from approximately 50 women, children and local residents, along with 10 Army personnel from PEDA.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about gender equality, promote self-reliance among women and motivate the youth to lead a purposeful and disciplined life. A medical camp was also set up during the event for health check-ups and free distribution of medicines.
The lecture focused on educating women about their rights, available opportunities and various government schemes designed to support their empowerment. The speaker emphasized the significance of women’s active involvement in education, healthcare, entrepreneurship and decision-making roles within society. Participants were encouraged to avail themselves of Sadbhavna initiatives such as stitching and tailoring courses, beautician training, medical camps, driving lessons and more. These programs play a crucial role in uplifting the socio-economic status of women and ensuring their holistic development. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants engaged enthusiastically reflecting their keen interest in implementing the knowledge and guidance shared during the session.
