Madhya Pradesh , 6 Feb : An army fighter jet ‘Mirage 2000’ has crashed in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. Both pilots are reported to have been injured in the accident, but they are said to be safe. The plane crashed in a field, after which it caught fire. Pictures of the fighter jet engulfed in flames have surfaced on social media, in which it can be seen that the plane has been completely destroyed.
As soon as the news of the plane crash was received, locals rushed to the scene. Soon, an Air Force helicopter arrived and took the two pilots to Gwalior. It is being told that the army plane crashed in a field on the afternoon of February 6 in Dabrasani village of Narur tehsil. The plane could have hit residential buildings, but the danger was averted due to the pilot’s prudence. Both pilots got out of the plane in time, although they suffered some minor injuries during the incident.
No information has been revealed yet about how the accident happened. Karira police station in-charge Vinod Chawai has confirmed the accident and said that there were two pilots on board the plane and both the pilots had ‘ejected’ themselves before the accident, that is, they had escaped. A media report has said that the plane had taken off from Gwalior. An investigation into the accident has been ordered.
